On economic development and social welfare in the Third World: A community based research projekt in Jhimpir

A discussion addressing the complex interrelationships between economic interests and social responsibility and the problematics of negotiating and implementing social benefits in a top-down-system. Based on a research project in Jhimpir, Pakistan, the discussion attempts to reframe our perception of poverty by considering colonial undertones in development standards and efforts by the first world.
