In my bachelor thesis Food for a resilient Society I wrote about local food production in the city, in particular the city of Hamburg. I presented different projects and initiatives which are focusing on small and big scale local and sustainable food production, raising awareness for this topic and trying to build more resilient communities. Furthermore I try to give an understanding of the concept of resilience in cities and the importance of ecological and social resilience in urban areas. The installation you see in the pictures just shows the variety of regional and seasonal food during the time of the exhibition in July. In the envelopes are questions which came up during my research of my thesis and are, for me personally, really important to get deeper into the topic of resilient and sustainable food production.
